FUNDING SUPPORT

Captain Scott B and the Great Adventure is a feature length documentary produced and filmed entirely in North Carolina, from the mountains to the sea. This true story about a young woman grieving the loss of her father is both relevant and timely, with themes ranging from the restorative power of nature, to the importance of things like community, adventure, and creativity to help us process loss. The film was completed in 2022 and has since premiered on PBS North Carolina and several film festivals and screenings worldwide. Story writer and Producer, Betsy Bertram, has been traveling with the film to speak about everything from making the movie, to wild adventures with her father, and the valuable grief resources she's found and lessons she's learned along the way. We continue to receive powerful feedback and reassurance about the value of this story and how Betsy's message is resonating and helping others process their own grief journeys.

Our current mission is to share Captain Scott B and the Great Adventure as widely as possible and we continue to seek funding support and donations in an effort to continue our outreach and gain wider distribution for this project.

Supporting our efforts with a donation is simple and tax-deductible thanks to our awesome 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, The Southern Documentary Fund. Navigate to our film's SDF page here or scan the QR code to donate
